About this campaign

NHAAN's limited-edition advocacy shirt celebrates the resilience, leadership, and voices of people aging with HIV.

The message, "We Aged Into This Fight. We Are Not Leaving," recognizes long-term survivors and the generations of advocates who continue to fight for dignity, healthcare access, research, and visibility.

All proceeds support NHAAN's advocacy, education, and engagement efforts, including activities at the 2026 United States Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA) HIV 50+, NHAAN, and Long-Term Survivors Lounge.

Shirts are available for a limited time. Help us reach our minimum order goal of 100 and show your support for HIV and Aging advocacy.

For more than four decades, people living with HIV have fought for treatment, care, research, and the right to age with dignity. Today, nearly half of the people living with HIV in the United States are age 50 and older. Yet aging with HIV remains underrepresented in public conversations, policy discussions, research priorities, and funding decisions.

The National HIV & Aging Advocacy Network (NHAAN) was created to ensure that older adults living with and affected by HIV are not forgotten. Through education, advocacy, leadership development, and community engagement, NHAAN works to elevate the voices and experiences of people aging with HIV.

This shirt is more than apparel. It is a statement.

"We Aged Into This Fight. We Are Not Leaving."

The campaign aligns with National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day, observed annually on September 18. This national observance highlights the realities of aging with HIV, combats stigma faced by older adults living with HIV, and raises awareness about the unique health, social, and policy challenges experienced by this growing population.

This year, the awareness day falls during the United States Conference on HIV/AIDS (USCHA), September 17–20, 2026, in Anaheim, California. Under the theme "United and Unbreakable: The HIV Movement at 45," advocates, providers, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders from across the country will gather to shape the future of the HIV response.

This campaign honors long-term survivors, recognizes the contributions of older adults living with HIV, and reminds our community that aging is not the end of the conversation—it is part of the future of the movement.

Funds raised through this campaign will support NHAAN's HIV and Aging awareness, advocacy, and engagement efforts and help amplify the voices of people aging with HIV nationwide. Thank you for standing with us and helping ensure that people aging with HIV remain visible, valued, and heard.
